The Professor Behind the Passport

Hi, I’m Lisa, a professor, traveler, and educator with a passion for transforming education through creativity, play, and global connection.

With over 20 years of teaching experience in International Business and Marketing,
I’ve had the privilege of guiding students
on a journey that goes far beyond the classroom. Whether I’m gamifying complex concepts like cross-cultural management, connecting classrooms across continents, or helping students tackle real-world challenges, my mission is simple: to make learning an adventure. I’ve taught and lived in Spain, the Netherlands, and France, and I’ve traveled to 51 countries (and counting!). Each experience has shaped my global perspective and taught me that the best education happens when students are engaged, curious, and having fun. From leading students through the cobblestone streets of Dijon to collaborating with peers at a university in Sevilla, I’ve seen firsthand how culture and creativity can ignite understanding and innovation.

"Let’s reimagine education together, no ordinary passport required."

As the host of The Gamified Classroom podcast,
I share strategies for playful learning that educators can use to inspire their own students. I’m also a soon-to-be certified LEGO Serious Play facilitator, adding yet
another tool to my repertoire for making education hands-on, joyful, and impactful. Outside the classroom,
I proudly serve on the One For All Foundation Board, where I advocate for inclusive, equitable education for learners everywhere.

I have focused my career on developing unique,
gamified projects in which my students worked with peers from around the globe to solve business challenges. These experiences have reinforced my
belief that education isn’t just about memorizing facts;
it’s about learning to think critically, collaborate effectively, and approach the world with curiosity
and empathy.

When I’m not teaching, traveling, or podcasting, I’m writing my debut novel,  inspired by the real-life diaries
of a teacher navigating the turbulent political climate of the 1930s. It’s a story that explores themes of love, resistance, and the power of education to shape a
better future.

At Professor Passport, my goal is to reimagine what learning can be, combining the power of play with
global experiences to create transformative education. Whether you’re an educator looking for gamified strategies, a business leader ready to embrace creative problem-solving, or simply someone curious about the intersection of learning and adventure.

I’d love to connect!

My Vision

At Professor Passport, my mission is to fuse real-world relevance with the joy of discovery to create a revolutionary approach to education. By integrating travel, play, and learning, I empower students to embrace creativity, challenge assumptions, and thrive in a world that values connection.
