Educate with curiosity. Think critically.

The conversations around education this summer were buzzing with one particular theme: AI. It’s clear that artificial intelligence is not going away anytime soon, and the consensus I encountered was simple—roll with it. Instead of fearing what AI might mean for the future of education, many educators are thinking of ways to embrace it as a creative tool.
I loved hearing ideas like incorporating AI into classroom podcasts, where students could "interview" an AI guest in real-time, or using AI to generate songs that summarize class materials—a creative way for students to engage and reflect. These approaches make AI less of a threat and more of a partner in learning. The challenge isn’t whether AI will change education (it already is), but how we can guide students to interact with it meaningfully, critically, and playfully. As an educator, I see AI as an opportunity to reimagine what engagement looks like, and this year I’m excited to experiment with new ways of integrating it into my teaching.
